We pride ourselves in constructing only quality custom log homes and treat every log home as if we are building it for ourselves. Using details and construction methods that have been designed and perfected by our Master Log Smiths, they are our signature trademarks that are recognized all over the world.
We have 5 full-time and very qualified designers on staff with more than 80 years of combined design experience. From the initial meeting to the production of the construction blueprints our design team will work closely with you, incorporating your thoughts, needs and desires into a custom log home that suits your family requirements.
At Pioneer, we have perfected some very customized construction systems, using full log, timber frame and log post-and-beam (Fusion) building methods. We have incorporated timber joinery learned in Europe to enhance the beauty and quality of your Pioneer home. All of our logs are hand peeled with a drawknife at our yard sites and the joinery is finished with axes and slicks to highlight the natural beauty of each log. Our builders use a lateral groove, full-scribe system and our own specially designed shrink notch corner system, to ensure each log in your home has a tight and trusted fit. Once your home is constructed it is carefully disassembled, loaded and transported to your property where a Pioneer craftsman supervises the assembly of the log shell onto your foundation.
We have very qualified distributors throughout the world that will be more than happy to assist you in the site planning and preparation, along with the construction of your log home. Pioneer provides the log shell package which includes the exterior log walls, log beams and posts to support the roof structure, the log floor joists to support the upstairs floor, a log staircase, if required, and related hardware. In the log homes we build, we will work with our customers in arranging for additional materials that they may require in the finishing of their home, such as dimension lumber, tongue-and-groove in various species and widths, siding, stains, windows, doors, cabinetry and specialty finishing wood products.
