Heritage Log Homes Inc. provides design services assisting our clients wishing to modify a standard plan or even create a completely custom home from their own dream design. The company's log systems allow a great deal of flexibility in the selection of luxury options, features and styles. Standard models are available in five log profiles, including: the patented 8-inch, full-round log wall; the 8-inch, flat-round or D-log; the 6-by-12-inch hand-hewn log system; the 10-inch full-round log wall; and our massive 12-inch full-round log system. We also offer a peeled log finish on both our 10- and 12-inch log profiles.

All Heritage log homes feature a self-aligning double tongue-and-groove design with our self-tightening, maintenance-free, through-bolt log fastening system with our patented SALLY anchoring system for superior stability and outstanding settling control. Heritage uses select-grade pine but also offers white and red cedar as an upgrade. The logs are naturally seasoned and machined to precise dimensions (the 6-by-12-inch series is then masterfully hand-hewn) and all our logs and timbers are protected with EPA-approved wood preservatives and borate treatments.

Heritage's 8-inch series features a patented (Patent #4,901,489) double tongue-and-groove saddle notch. The 6-by-12-inch hand-hewn series features a full dovetail notch and is designed and manufactured to produce a tight fit between the logs. The 10-inch series also uses an interlocking saddle-notch corner. Double strips of PVC foam gasket, applied during construction, seal the horizontal joints with Log-Lokª insulated splines at the butt joints. Every log home we deliver comes with a factory representative to provide onsite technical assistance to make sure everything starts out properly.
